Loren Hizel is a graduate student in the department of Clinical and Health Psychology, PhD program. He is particularly interested in understanding cognitive decline through longitudinal methods and the neurocorrelates associated with decline. Loren received his B.A. in Psychology from Illinois State University in 2009. Afterward he joined the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Chicago proctoring Neuropsychological tests for their longitudinal, epidemiological cohorts (the Religious Orders Study and the Memory and Aging Project).
Loren is preparing to begin his dissertation examining aspects of a construction task in Parkinson’s disease cognitive subtypes. He is also beginning a T32 training fellowship in April 2017.
